About us
JDW Interiors is led by Jack David Whelan, who moved to Munich in 2015.
Jack trained in the UK, where he completed the highest level of qualification in joinery and furniture making. After running a successful business in Britain, he brought that experience to Munich and founded JDW Interiors.
Since then, he has continued to grow the company around a shared passion for well-designed, beautifully made interiors and bespoke furniture. Along the way, Munich has become very much a second home — Bavarian culture and language included.
Our Process
If you’re considering working with us, the process starts with a free, no-obligation consultation. We’ll take the time to understand your ideas, requirements and the space itself, and where appropriate, visit the site to get a clear sense of the project.
From there, we develop a tailored design approach and work through materials, functionality and key details with you. Once the concept is agreed, we provide a clear and detailed quotation.
After approval, we take care of the technical development, production planning and scheduling. Our own team then carries the project through to completion, from precise manufacturing to professional installation on site.
We manage every stage of the process with care and attention to detail, ensuring a smooth journey from the first conversation to the finished result.
We tailor our expertise to the needs of each project. For private clients, we develop bespoke furniture and interiors from start to finish — from the initial idea and design through to planning, production and installation.
We also work closely with architects and interior designers, taking their concepts forward through technical development, detailing, production and installation.
This allows us to combine our design expertise with the technical knowledge and craftsmanship needed to realise ambitious concepts with precision and in close collaboration with our project partners.
